Dr David Leinkram is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in Sydney. He was appointed as a Visiting Medical Officer at Westmead Hospital from 2013 and commenced private practice in Bondi Junction. David developed a keen interested in the highly specialised field of head and neck reconstructive procedures following trauma or after tumour resections. To develop these skills, he travelled to China for much of 2015 and continued his training at Liverpool Hospital in 2016 and then at the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse in 2017 and 2018. 

David moved from Westmead and was appointed as a Visiting Medical Officer at The Chris O’Brien Lifehouse in 2019. He works collaboratively to reconstruct patients with an emphasis on function and aesthetics. When possible, dental implants that support prosthetic teeth or other resected structures are included in the reconstruction. This work employs advanced digital technologies (virtual surgical planning) that facilitates accurate and predictable results. David applies similar technologies to complex implant surgery and orthognathic surgery.
