Free dental treatment worth $9500 provided at Filling the Gap’s latest charity clinic

1 February 2020

A total of 21 Patients from five different charities were treated to $9500 worth of dental care at Filling The Gap’s latest charity clinic at ADA NSW’s offices at St Leonards.

The patients were from five different charities including WAH House, William Booth House, Bobby Goldsmith Foundation, The Station and Wayside Chapel.

An eight person volunteer team came together including Dr Rossiter (with his wealth of experience in surgical extractions), Dr Hany Gerges (a long time Red Cross and ADHF volunteer), Dr Theresa Lee (back in the clinic for her second volunteer day) and Dr Ever Juan (experiencing the clinic for the first time). The team of dentists would not have survived the day without a supportive group of dental assistants.

This team of dental assistants was supported by a very experienced team member, Indira Pamireddy, from Westmead Centre for Oral Health.

The ground staff provided by ADA NSW CPD Clinics were very busy scouting for the clinics and providing much needed assistance with dental equipment and resources which were vital to the day’s success.

Multiple procedures were carried out on the day including general restorative, extractions and issuing dentures.

This denture support allowed the team the ability to not only create healthy mouths but also healthy smiles and this would not have been possible without the generosity of Sculpt Dental and 3Shape Trios imaging software.
