Baby teeth can be very difficult for some babies as they arrive but caring for those teeth is vital. Many parents don’t prioritise the care of baby teeth assuming they’re not important because they’ll eventually fall out.
But this isn’t true, baby teeth have a vital role to play in a child’s development. Baby teeth are vital for a child’s speech, jaw development and eating. Damaged and decayed teeth are a significant health risk.
The Australian Institute of Heath and Welfare Report into Australian oral health has shown that there are high levels of tooth decay among Australian children under five.
