Supporting dentists since 1928

About ADA NSW

A long history of serving members

Since our establishment in 1928, we’ve proudly served as the leading advocate for the dental profession in NSW and the ACT. Our vision is ambitious: to foster the best dentists in the world, in a nation with the best oral health.

With a robust membership exceeding 5,000 dentists in NSW and the ACT (representing over 65% of dentists) we stand united, amplifying the voice and influence of our profession.

During this time, ADA NSW has been a steadfast companion, offering our members unwavering support.

Our legacy is a testament to our dedication to advancing dentistry. We are privileged to champion a profession dedicated to enhancing the oral health and well-being of every Australian.

Together, we continue to shape the future of dentistry, ensuring a brighter, healthier tomorrow for all.

Governance

As a member-led association, our members are at the heart of everything we do. Dentists serve on our Board and Committees, ensuring that members’ interests, values and priorities are always represented.

Awards and Honours

About
ADA NSW acknowledges the exceptional contributions of its members to the profession, oral health, and the community. Additionally, the Association recognises the valuable input of non-dentists who have significantly contributed to the Branch and the profession. To honour these efforts, the Council has established a system of awards for both members and non-members who have provided distinguished service to the Association. The Council may also seek advice and nominations from members or any committee formed to review potential award recipients.

The Council will determine the method and time frame for award nominations on an annual basis. However, these awards are not required to be given every year. A maximum of two members per category may receive the award each year, which will take the form of a certificate or medallion, as appropriate. The awards will be presented at the President’s Reception or at another occasion decided by the Council.
