Practical approach for predictable endodontics
This advanced 3-days workshop encompasses both theory and hands-on training focusing on various facets of clinical endodontics at the fundamental and advanced levels.
This contemporary course will focus on the fundamental concepts of endodontics: using problem-based learning techniques and case reports to cover diagnosis, cracks management, pain control in endodontics (hot pulp), access cavity, modern shaping and disinfection process and advances in obturation of the root canal system.
This theoretical knowledge will be coupled with multiple extended hands-on sessions conducted by two experienced endodontists, focusing on:
- Access cavity preparation, locating orifices, negotiating and shaping simple to complex curved as well as calcified root canals
- Use of various rotary NiTi systems and reciprocating endodontic motors in shaping challenging root canal systems
- Practical use of bioceramic materials like MTA cement in obturation of wide canals and perforation repairs
- Leaning principles of re-treatment, post removal, GP filling removal and canal negotiation.
Participants will have access to endodontic motor, various NiTi file systems, warm vertical compaction obturation system, ultrasonics, and other related materials during hands-on sessions. Operating microscopes will be available; however, the participants are encouraged to bring their loupes on the day. Participants will be given in depth demonstrations of the techniques prior to performing the hands-on training.
Designed for both new graduates and more experienced clinicians, gain confidence, improve and expand your scope of clinical skills in endodontics. Separate Q and A sessions will follow lectures and hands-on sessions.
