This specifically designed course provides the basic knowledge and skills required to help new dental assistants in their role. Review and practice common dental assisting duties and learn strategies to stay organised and improve your dental assisting skills.
Use chairside manikins and practice hands-on activities including: surgery preparation, greeting a patient, assisting a dentist, suction techniques, moisture control, surgery changeover, positioning and ergonomics.
In addition, this course outlines the importance for infection control, hand hygiene, contamination zones and reviews the basics for processing reusable instruments and equipment.
